Joseph C. Yacklon
Joseph C. Yacklon, of Fredonia, NY, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his residence.
He was 46 years of age, born in Dunkirk, NY on January 14, 1967, the son of Dorothy (Fafinski) Yacklon of Dunkirk & the late Carl Yacklon. A lifelong area resident, he was a graduate of SUNY Fredonia in 1990. He was employed as the Pre Treatment Co-ordinator at the Waste Water Treatment Plant in the City of Dunkirk. He loved his Camaro, his dog Thor, was a motorcycle enthusiast and was active in youth sports as a coach in the Westfield Soccer League, the Northern Chautauqua Soccer League and the Fredonia Midget Football team. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua R. C. Church of Fredonia and Phi Kappa Sig-ma.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nicole A. (Marino) Yacklon who he married on September 23, 1995, his son, Nicholas Yacklon, his daughter, Jillian Yacklon, his brother, Jeffrey (Becky) Yacklon of Dunkirk, his sister, Debra Davis of Clermont, Florida, his nieces, Makayla, Emma, Savannah & Lindsay of Fredonia, his nephew, Presley, his father and mother-in-laws, Jesse and Sharon Marino of Fredonia, his sister-in-laws, Suzanne (Pranav) Khosla of Cincinnati, Ohio and Gabrielle (Frank Watson) Marino of Great Valley, NY.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held Monday, April 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church in Fredonia. Private internment will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc. Flowers gratefully declined. The family suggests memorials be made for a scholarship fund for the education of Nicholas and Jillian c/o Lake Shore Savings Bank, 128 East 4th Street, Dunkirk, NY.
