Pace paces Jamestown past Gowanda, 17-4

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown’s Jessica Pace swung the bat with authority Monday afternoon in CCAA Division 1 girls softball.

Pace delivered six runs on four singles to support the pitching of McKenzie Martin as the Lady Red Raiders (3-4, 3-5) belted Gowanda (1-5), 17-4, at the Martin Road Complex.

In the circle, Martin went the distance with seven strikeouts, six hits with a walk and only two earned runs in the win.

Hannah Pollino came through with two triples among her three hits and Kaytlin Haines scored five runs on three hits and two walks for Jamestown, which had 17 overall hits.

Alexis Farner had a triple in the loss.
