Pa. deaths ruled homicides

WARREN, Pa. – Autopsy reports for two people found dead in Forest County (Pa.) on Saturday confirm the initial ruling of homicide.

Police found Marcelle I. Edwards, 42, dead at her 229 Holli Acres Road, Tionesta, residence, and Donald Louis Shay, 43, Leechburg, dead on the front porch, both showing stab wounds, shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday after responding to a report of a man brandishing a knife.

On Monday, Forest County Coroner Norman Wimer ruled both deaths as homicides.

He ruled that Shay died as a result of “multiple stab wounds to the trunk” and Edwards died as a result of a “single stab wound to the neck.”

Pennsylvania State Police arrested Scott Allan Black, 38, Butler, later Saturday morning. Black was arraigned and taken to Warren County Jail without bond.

In a Saturday press release, Wimer said, “Apparently, there had been an ongoing dispute with the two victims and the 42-year-old female’s ex-boyfriend and now suspect, Scott Black.”
