Silver Creek dominates Gowanda, 18-2

SILVER CREEK – Bill Jones netted six goals to lead the Silver Creek Black Knights (9-0) to a dominating 18-2 victory over rival Gowanda on Tuesday in Class C high school lacrosse action.

Frank Wolfe added six goals and three assists while Zeddie Williams added three goals and two helpers. Tyson Brown, Clay Jones and Nate Jones each had a goal for the winners.

“We controlled the ball from the faceoff and kept the ball in their end,” Silver Creek coach Bill Brennan said. “We worked the ball in our end and kept the ball moving. The boys attacked.”

Owen Tallchief was the winning goalie with six saves. Meanwhile, Brody Jimerson was the losing goalie with 23 saves.

Silver Creek hosts Class A powerhouse Orchard Park today at 5 p.m.
