SHERMAN – The Ripley Eagles (6-2, 6-3) received a strong pitching performance from Trevor Enterline in defeating the Sherman Wildcats, 2-1, Friday in CCAA Division 4 high school baseball.

Enterline went the distance and only allowed two walks and as many hits while striking out eight.

Devin Pope provided the offense as his RBI double plated Michael Lisek for the game-winning run.

Enterline helped his own cause with an RBI single to score Eric Horstman earlier in the game.

On Thursday, Logan Miller provided the pitching as he fanned 10 and walked just one while scattering just four hits in a 1-0 win over Ellicottville.

At the plate, he went 2 for 4 while Cody Sargent had two doubles.

The team only committed one error in the game.

“They really pulled through,” Ripley coach Ken Rowe said. “Logan missed last year and is getting his strength and accuracy back. He has one of best curveballs I have seen.”
