Six works honored at JCC student art exhibit

JAMESTOWN – Works by six Jamestown Community College students were honored with artistic excellence awards during the recent opening of the annual student art exhibition in the Weeks Gallery.

The exhibition, on display through Tuesday, was judged by Peter Tucker, assistant professor of art at the State University of New York at Fredonia.

Awards included: Dana Filsinger of Jamestown, ceramics; Alex Glazier of Jamestown, photography; Felicity Northrup of Jamestown, painting; Christopher Perry of Forestville, 3-D work and faculty award for best overall portfolio excellence; Kyle Roof of Dunkirk, new media; and Brady Webb of Bemus Point, drawing and JCC Alumni Association best of show honors.
