North East, Pa., man charged after pursuit through Peek’n Peak resort

FRENCH CREEK – On Sunday, New York State Police from Jamestown charged Todd B. Farabaugh, 18, of North East, Pa., with two speeding violations (40 mph in a 25 mph zone and 75 mph in a 35 mph), reckless driving, failure to comply, failure to signal, failure to stop at a stop sign and imprudent speed.

Reportedly, Farabaugh led troopers on a pursuit through Peek’n Peak.

Troopers attempted to stop his vehicle on Canterbury Drive, but Farabaugh allegedly failed to stop and led troopers on a chase that went by the Upper Golf Course and onto Olde Road.

Reportedly, the suspect failed to stop at stop signs and sped in front of the resort.

The chase continued onto Griffin Road, Pekin Hill Road and Fox Road.

The pursuit was for about five miles.

The troopers stopped pursuing the suspect after he entered Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania State Police from Erie, Pa., were contacted and found the suspect’s vehicle.

Farabaugh turned himself in to troopers in Jamestown and was ticketed.

Randolph man charged with aggravated DWI

RANDOLPH – On Sunday, New York State Police in Jamestown charged Kasey Brown, 29, of Torrence Road in Randolph with aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Troopers stopped Brown because he reportedly failed to keep right on State Route 241.

Troopers reported that Brown failed field sobriety tests and was taken to state police barracks in Jamestown. He provided a breath sample there that was reported to be .27 percent.

He was released with tickets and is scheduled for the Town of Randolph Court on May 16.
