14th Annual Woody Keyser Memorial Open Modified Softball Tournament

The 14th Annual Woody Keyser Memorial Open Modified Softball Tournament will be held June 1 and June 2, in Westfield.

The cost for the 10-man, open-modified teams is $275, with the top three teams winning prize money.

To participate in the tournament, contact tournament director Steve Keyser at 716-680-0207, or visit www.leaguelineup.com/thekeyser.

The tournament began in 1999 to honor Woody Keyser, who was a beloved member of the Westfield community, who dedicated his time coaching and sharing his love of the sport with a generation of youngsters.

All proceeds from the tournament will go to the Woody Keyser Memorial Fund. Donations from the fund are made in Woody’s name to local youth baseball and softball leagues.

In addition, the tournament lends its support to the Woody Keyser Memorial Scholarship at Westfield Academy and Central School. Each year, one senior baseball or softball player who exhibits hard work, dedication and sportsmanship, earns the scholarship.
