AKRON – After two tough losses last week to powerhouse opponents, the Silver Creek Black Knights (10-2) defeated a quality opponent in previously undefeated Akron, 20-15, Tuesday in high school lacrosse action.

Zeddie Williams led the way with seven goals and three assists while Kaine Kettle and Brennan White each had four goals. White also added an assist. Owen Tallchief netted two goals while Frank Wolfe had two goals and a helper for the Black Knights. Sherman Williams tallied a goal and three assists in the win.

Chase Scanlan was the winning goalie with 13 saves.

“We controlled faceoffs and had a lot of transition goals,” Silver Creek coach Bill Brennan said. “It was a great win. We were basically looking forward to this game for a while. It’s good to come out on top. It was a hard-fought effort by the boys. They put in hard work and it paid off for them.”
