Cassadaga Valley Central School District to celebrate 75th anniversary
CASSADAGA – CVCS graduates are cordially invited to attend the celebration of “75 Years of Working Together as a District.” Festivities will take place Oct. 11 to 13 at Cassadaga Middle and High School in Sinclairville. Activities will include the opening ceremony and memorial, the “Basketball Game of Yesteryear,” a band and choral event, historical information and displays and a Prom.
The booklet committee is seeking community input from former Cassadaga Valley graduates and community supporters for the 75th Anniversary Celebration book. The committee is asking for memories and photographs of milestone events, pivotal moments in graduates’ educational experiences, tributes to memorable teachers, coaches and other role models and more. For each photo, they will need a statement that the photo may be published in digital and print form, along with the complete address and phone number of the person contributing it and/or the essay. For further information, contact Sue Lawson at email@example.com, or call (512) 633-5390.
Graduates and community businesses are also asked to show their pride in their CV heritage. They can gain tax-deductible business exposure to the community, on the web and to classmates. There will be an advertising booklet published and distributed at the celebration and on the internet. Business card ads cost $20, and other sizes are also available. For $5, one-line patronage is an option.
Contact Vi Dorman by June 30 at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
There will also be a “CV Alumni Notables” booklet published for viewing at the anniversary festivities, so if a CV graduate has noteworthy accomplishments, that information can be sent to Heather Nocero at email@example.com by June 30. Include the graduate’s name, graduation year, and what he/she is notable for.
Historical items to share at the festivities are also being sought. Anything interesting from CVCS’s past is desirable, including old sports uniforms, letterman jackets, etc.
