HANOVER – Herbert J. Michaels, 55, of Forestville was charged Wednesday with felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle without interlock and speeding after a traffic stop on King Road. Deputies noticed Michaels speeding around 7:45 p.m.

He was allegedly found to be intoxicated and his license was revoked from a previous DWI conviction. He was arraigned in the Hanover Town Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail.

MAYVILLE – Mark R. Burch Jr., 20, of Jamestown, turned himself in Tuesday on a warrant for fourth-degree grand larceny. He was featured on the Chautauqua County Wanted List.

ELLINGTON – Two were injured after an accident on Waterboro Hill Road Thursday. According to deputies, Robert Behnke Jr., 28, of Cattaraugus, was trying to back up a tanker truck into a farm, when the vehicle driven by Donna Burdic, 62, and passenger NoraJo Rogers, both of Kennedy, crested the hill and collided with the front of the tanker truck. It was found Burdic failed to reduce her speed on the hill and was issued a ticket to Ellington Town Court. Burdic and Rogers were transported by Ellington and Kennedy Ambulance to WCA Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident. New York State Police also assisted on the scene.
