Brocton-Portland Seniors meeting change

The Brocton-Portland Seniors will meet Monday, May 20 at noon at St. Dominic’s Church in Brocton. The date has been moved due to Memorial Day and the location has been moved because the Legion is undergoing renovations. Members are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own table services.

CWC to hold annual Wildflower Walk Saturday

The Chautauqua Water-shed Conservancy invites its members and the public to their annual Wildflower Walk on Saturday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at CWC’s new Elm Flats Wetland Preserve First Site on Lawson Road in Mayville. Becky Nystrom, a JCC Biology Professor and CWC board member, will lead the walk.

Conditions may be wet and/or muddy, so participants are asked to dress appropriately and wear waterproof boots. Pre-registration is appreciated but not required.

Participants can register by emailing or calling the CWC office at 664-2166. This event is free for CWC members; a $5 donation is suggested for non-members.

Land Bank Corporation to meet May 15

The Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development will hold an official meeting of the Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation on May 15 at 9 a.m. in the CCIDA Board Room, 200 Harrison St., Jamestown.

This general meeting of

the CCLBC is being conducted to discuss business associated with property acquisition and disposition, insurance issues, taxes, finances, and other official business as required (agenda will be provided at the meeting). The press, public and other stakeholders are invited to attend.
