Do the basics for seawall

Editor, OBSERVER:

Why another design study on the seawall repair? The city already has at least two studies and has spent many thousands of dollars on the design.

One of the previous studies recommended several million dollars in repairs. Why will the new study be any different?

The engineering firm gets paid more to design a big project, who is going to recommend a small project?

Why not spend the $200,000 on the repairs that are actually needed? Has anyone ever asked what is really needed and why?

I doubt the competence of the people that are recommending this project.

Editor, OBSERVER:

If we are to believe that somehow the terrorists were able to …

1. Walk right by FBI agents as seen on YouTube;

2. Walk right by and stand in the presence of bomb-sniffing dogs;

3. Walk right into and stand in the middle of a crowd of hundreds of Boston and state police, National Guard and para-military security contractors;

4. While being observed by dozens of security and private cameras.

Yet somehow despite all this security and billions of dollars spent over the last 10 years on homeland security, they were able to pull off this dirty deed?

If we can’t trust our own government to protect us after all this then perhaps we should go back to our national motto, “In God we trust,” and revaluate ourselves to see where we went wrong and ask him for his forgiveness to put us and the USA on the right track again.
