Rural Ministry to host Cooking For Mom workshop at the Friendly Kitchen on Sunday
Why celebrate Mother’s Day for only one day out of the year?
The Chautauqua County Rural Ministry will host a workshop titled Cooking For Mom on Sunday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the dining room of the Friendly Kitchen, 131 Central Ave. in Dunkirk.
The workshop will be led by Carmen Quinones, an experienced home cook and resident of Fredonia who has led several workshops in the past at the Friendly Kitchen. During this workshop, she will teach attendees how to make a few delicious and healthy dishes that you can make at home for your mother.
All participants will experience a cooking demo and receive recipes, informational materials, and a gift. Fresh ingredients are always used, and a healthy meal that your mother will love will be distributed. Participants are encouraged to bring their mothers and mothers are encouraged to bring their daughters.
RSVP by Friday by calling Hannah Farley at 366-1787; include information on special dietary considerations or allergies at this time, if applicable. There is no cost to attend the workshop and enjoy the free meal and free gifts. All are welcome to attend. These workshops are made possible by a grant through the United Way of Northern Chautauqua County and NYS Department of Health Division of Nutrition. CCRM is a United Way Community Partner.
