Knights finish regular season with another win

HAMBURG – The Silver Creek Black Knights (14-2) wrapped up the regular season with a 15-10 win over the Frontier Falcons (8-9) in non-league boys high school lacrosse action Thursday.

Zeddie Williams led Silver Creek with five goals and three assists while Kaine Kettle tallied three goals and one assist in the victory. Sherman Williams added three goals for the Black Knights.

“It was just a game that we kind of controlled at the face-off,” Silver Creek coach Bill Brennan said. “It’s the same thing that’s happened in all of our victories. Everyone’s working together and the offense is clicking.”

Chase Scanlan saved four shots for the Black Knights.

Silver Creek now awaits its first opponent in the sectional playoffs. The Black Knights have a first-round bye and host a second-round game Tuesday.

“Anything can happen in the playoffs,” Brennan said.
