FORESTVILLE – Five of the areas best golfers took to Tri-County Country Club on Friday in a four-team boys high school golf match.
Maple Grove’s Will Lockwood, Andy Farnham, Chautauqua Lake’s Ethan Nelson and Cody Latimer and Silver Creek’s Dan Weimer will all compete in Monday’s State Qualifier. But on Friday, they were at Tri-County.
Lockwood and Farnham showed they were in top form as they both shot a 2-over-par to tie for medalist honors.
Maple Grove defeated Chautauqua Lake, 32.5-22.5, Silver Creek, 34-21 and Forestville 38.5-16.5. Meanwhile, Chautauqua Lake defeated Silver Creek, 31.5-23.5 and Forestville, 37-18. Silver Creek downed Forestville, 28-27.
Besides Lockwood and Farnham, the Red Dragons received a 48 from Jim Kistner while Dillan LaBarbera shot a 49 and Bryce Moyer had a 51.

For the Thunderbirds (9-3, 11-3), Greg Momburger shot a 46, Cody Latimer hit a 47, Ethan Nelson recorded a 49, Joe Parker had a 54 and Kole Maytum 55 and Nick Hudson each finished with a 55.
Weimer led Silver Creek (3-9, 4-11) with a 41 while Dan Sweetman shot a 47. Andrew Sweetman had a 61 followed by Jewel Heald 64 and Joey Donovan 65.
For the Hornets (2-10, 3-12), Nick Ranft recorded a 49, followed by Lewis Markham 55, Jackson Egan 58, Logan Youngberg 59 and Matt Newman 67.
