Black?Knights move on to semifinals of lacrosse playoffs

SILVER CREEK – The No. 1 Silver Creek Black Knights took down No. 8 Amherst, 14-7, Tuesday in Section 6 Class C high school lacrosse action.

Zeddie Williams led the way with five goals and as many assists. Onah Mohawk stepped in for an injured Sherman Williams and contributed with three goals and two assists.

Owen Tallchief netted two goals and Brennan White had two goals and an assist for the winners.

Chase Scanlan was the winning goalie with 13 saves.

“We came out and Zeddie controlled it at the faceoff,” Silver Creek coach Bill Brennan said. “He won 80 percent of the faceoffs. We controlled the ball and worked it around. The guys were cutting through the middle and we had some good results.”

Silver Creek will host No. 5 Lake Shore on Thursday at 5 p.m.
