Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association Tournament Concludes
The Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association recently concluded its annual tournament at Lakeview Lanes in Silver Creek. Dynasty Plus One from Lakeview Lanes won the Handicap Team event with a score of 3,613. Lakeview III, also from Lakeview Lanes. finished second with a team score of 3,596. Lakeview III also took the Team Scratch honors with a score of 3,398. Silver Creek Fireman’s from Lakeview Lanes took second with a score of 3,213.
Josh and Danielle Azzarella, from Chick’s & Lucky Lanes, took the Doubles Handicap division with a score of 1,448. Brian Sikorski & Randy Jasinski from Lakeview Lanes took second with a score of 1,436. Ed Howard and Dennis Jensen from K & L Lanes took Doubles Scratch with a score of 1,328. PJ and Gordon Azzarella, from Lakeview and Chick’s Lanes, were second with a score of 1,327. In the Singles Handicap division, Gary Haase from Lucky Lanes won with a score of 814. Cheryl Doner, from Lucky Lanes, and Josh Azzarella, from Chick’s Lanes, were tied for second with a score of 781. Haase took Singles Scratch with a score of 718. Kenny Heppel from Chick’s Lanes was second with a score of 712. Sandy Gray, from Lakeview Lanes, won the All Events Handicap with a score of 2,272. Brian Sikorski, from Lakeview Lanes was second with a score of 2,246. Kevin Zola, from Lakeview Lanes, won All Events Scratch with a score of 2,042. P.J. Azzarella, from Lakeview Lanes, was second with a score of 2,041.
The season wraps up Saturday, June 8 with the annual awards banquet to be held at the First Ward Falcons Club in Dunkirk. Honor scores, life members and tournament winners are invited at no charge. Felix Garcia, Nick Zatorski and Eddy Paredes each had two hits to lead Lucky Lanes in a victorious effort. Tristan Skelly knocked two hits for the Exempts.

Maxwell Vigue earned his second win on the mound and allowed five hits in a Norm’s Towing win. Hunter Haskins led Norm’s with four hits and four runs scored while Justin Sager, Hunter Parks (double) and Eric Overmyer knocked three hits each. Travis Brennan, Garrison Hemphill, Vigue (double) and Brayden Smith (triple) tallied two hits.
Roan Kelly had two hits and scored three runs in a losing effort for the Firemen as Wayne White collected a double and a single. Gabe Metzger, Shawn Kelly and Aiden Giberson had the other hits for the Firemen.

Mike Korzienewski and Doug Clark combined for a one-hitter and struck out nine in a Stericycle win. Josh Gross hit a grand slam while Randy Stuart and Brandon Shelters knocked two hits each.
