Several arrests made in Sunset Bay
HANOVER – The Chau-tauqua County Sheriff’s Office made several arrests over the holiday weekend in Sunset Bay.
- Melissa Filock, 26, Chi-cago was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or higher and failure to stop at a stop sign on Saturday. At 2:16 a.m. deputies observed Filock’s vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on Iola Drive in Sunset Bay. She was found to be intoxicated and released on appearance tickets.
- Alexa White, 22, of Dunkirk was charged with DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher, failure to stop at a red light, failure to keep right and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation Monday. At 2:30 a.m. police saw White’s vehicle operating on Alleghany Road which failed to stop at the red light leaving Sunset Bay before turning onto Routes 5 and 20. Deputies followed White’s vehicle and saw her failing to keep right. White was found to be intoxicated and was released on appearance tickets.
- Steven R. McMindes, 22, of Cheektowaga was charged with disorderly conduct Monday. At 5:25 p.m. police found an individual exposing himself and urinating in public in the Sunset Bay Beach Club parking lot. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Ten minutes later, deputies were on foot patrol in the parking lot and investigating an odor of marijuana coming from a vehicle. Deputies found a quantity of marijuana inside the vehicle and charged Nicholas M. Rogalski, 18, Jacob D. Latello, 18, Vincent D. Agentieri, 18, Mitchell P. Grahnert, 18, and Jonathan J. Jerge, 18, all of Lancaster, with unlawful possession of marijuana. All were released on appearance tickets.
- Sean M. Drescher, 24, and Edward J. Jakubowski, 22, both of Buffalo were charged with drug possession following a police tip in the parking lot. At 6:16 p.m. police found the males in possession of cocaine. Both were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Drescher was found to be in possession of marijuana and additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Both were released on appearance tickets.
