Register now for Chautauqua Lake’s Summer Swimming Programs

MAYVILLE – Registrations are now being accepted at Chautauqua Lake Central School for two public swimming programs scheduled to begin on July 9. For each program, registrations must be received by 4 p.m. on June 17. Checks will not be cashed before June 18. No payments are accepted at the pool.

Summer Swimming Lessons are for children entering kindergarten in the fall, or older. Half-hour lessons will meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from July 9 through Aug. 1.

Swim and Dive Club is for students entering grade 4 in the fall or older. Participants must be able to swim one length of the pool with a strong over-arm stroke (freestyle). Caps and goggles are required. Participants will work on stroke techniques and endurance for freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly, and also on diving starts and flip turns. The one-hour program will meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from July 9 through August 8 and includes a swim meet at Welch Pool on a date to be announced.

Registration forms for both programs are available in each school office and at Locate the Swimming Pool link on the left side of the home page.

If sufficient registrations are not received in the District Office by the June 17 deadline, the program will be canceled and payments returned. If each program runs, and if space allows, additional registrations may be accepted in person on the morning of July 9, as explained on the registration form.

These are the only swimming pool programs offered this summer at Chautauqua Lake Central School.
