SCMS recognizes outstanding students

SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Central Middle School announces its Students of the Month for February. The students were selected based on the following criteria: strong work ethic, dependability, helpfulness, respectfulness and cooperation with others.

The sixth-grade recipients are Alycia Langan and Ammon Jones. Ammon is the son of Diane and Hugh Jones of Silver Creek. Outside of school, Ammon participates in Little Cagers Basketball League and football. He likes to play sports outside with his brother. Ammon would one day like to play college basketball, then become a dad.

Alycia is daughter of Kimberly and Bryon Langan of Silver Creek. Within school, Alycia participates in softball and the Book Club. Outside of school, Alycia participates in an ice skating program at Fredonia State College. She enjoys ice skating, playing hockey and hanging out with her friends. Alycia’s is undecided as to what she wants to do in the future.

The seventh-grade recipients are Sean Marchant and Krystel Schwab. Sean is the son of Pam and Joe Marchant of Silver Creek. Within school, he is involved in cross-country, track, Broadcast and Yearbook Club. Outside of school, Sean participates in the United Angles Youth Group and Chautauqua County Children’s Chorale. Sean enjoys riding his bike, hanging out with his friends, doing FaceTime with his brother, who is in Japan. He hopes to one day be a meteorologist.

Krystel is the daughter of Daniel and Denise Schwab of Silver Creek. Within school, she participates in volleyball, basketball, Broadcast and Grapevine Clubs. Krystel attend Gage Community Church. Krystel enjoys reading, writing, drawing, and listening to music. Krystel is interested in possibly becoming an author/illustrator.

The eighth-grade recipients are Kacey Stalker and Christopher Prosneick. Kacey Stalker is the daughter of Jason and Rhonda Stalker of Irving. Kacey enjoys participating in softball, basketball, karate, and art class. Her goal is to go into photography or become an oncologist.

Christopher is the son Kevin and Melissa Prosneick of Silver Creek. Within school, Christopher participates in soccer. Outside of school, Christopher enjoys participating in Boy Scouts. Christopher’s goal is to become a lawyer.
