Westfield Middle School selects Students of the Month
WESTFIELD – On a monthly basis, Westfield Middle School honors one student at each grade level as the Student of the Month. Teachers and staff had the opportunity to nominate one student who they believed met their criteria. Students of the Month must follow Westfield’s Rules of Respect for staff and peers; show outstanding effort and improvement or achievement and consistent high scores on tests, quizzes and projects; be prepared daily to participate in all classes; serve as positive role models for peers; and demonstrate a positive attitude and good citizenship. Three students were selected as Students of the Month for March. They are Brent Post, Lillian Brown and Amanda Knappenberger.
Brent is the sixth-grade recipient. He enjoys science and physical education, and in his spare time he builds Lego structures, incorporating gears and motors into his designs. He hopes to continue his education and one day work with Lego robotics.
Lillian is the seventh-grade recipient. She enjoys science class and doing fun experiments. She also enjoys physical education. In her free time, she likes to read and is active in dance. She is busy preparing for her spring recital. In the future, she would like to go to college and become a dance teacher.
Amanda is the eighth-grade Student of the Month for March. In school, she enjoys nearly all of her classes, especially science, language arts and music. She enjoys playing basketball at school and at home. She plans to continue to do well in school as she moves forward into high school.
The Westfield School and community offer their congratulations to these outstanding students.
