Infinity goes for the gold at competition
Infinity Dance Academy’s students recently attended the “Starbound” Dance Competition held in Rochester. The newly formed “IDC” dance team received a Gold award for their jazz performance to “Wings.” Team members include Olivia Corbett, Kristina Jewell, Emily and Rhianna Nasal, Kaitlyn Newman and Jessica Smith. In the duet category, Emily Nasal and Smith received Gold for the jazz routine to “Mother Monster” and “People Help The People” for their lyrical piece. The two members also competed in the lyrical solo division with both taking High Gold with their dance routines. Jewell also performed a solo routine in the Jazz category and she also received a High Gold as well.
Also competing in the 11-12 year old Hip Hop Category was a “Drummer Boy” routine, performed by Infinity’s 10-12 hip hop class. They came home with a Gold award. They also received a Gold for their lyrical piece “Autumn Leaves” as well. The members are: Mackenzie Alvarado, Tatiana Colon, Rachael Goodrich, Jewell, Emma Luther, Isabella Manning, Jenna Michalak, Chris Anne Mosier, Newman, Marisa Pagano, Mariah Polowy, Grace Smith, Jessica Stull, Allie Van Vlack and Haley Woleben. Bri Simpson is the IDC instructor as well as the hip hop and lyrical teacher.
