Linda (Romano) Scafuri, age 58, of Fredonia, NY, formerly of the Town of Tonawanda and Brooklyn, NY, died unexpectedly Monday June 3, 2013.
Ms. Scafuri was born July 9, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Charles and Josephine D’Amato Romano. She grew up in Brooklyn, attended Brooklyn Public Schools and graduated from Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School in Brooklyn.
Linda was an Administrative Assistant for the American Stock Transfer Company in Brooklyn. She moved from Brooklyn to the Town of Tonawanda 18 years ago to be closer to her daughter and other family members, eventually moving to Fredonia to live with her daughter, Marieanne Fabiano and her family.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Marieanne L. (Bryan A.) Fabiano; and her loving grandchildren Mackenzie G. and Brayden J. Fabiano.
Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her former husband Michael Scafuri.
Ms. Scafuri was a devoted Jehovah Witness and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Friends may call Thursday 4-7 p.m. at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia. A Memorial Service will be held at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, 970 Central Avenue, Dun-kirk, NY Friday morning at 10 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions in Ms. Scafuri’s memory may be made to the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, 970 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY 14048.
