Dunkirk graduate earns master’s degree

Steven Paul Gostomski, formerly of Dunkirk, was awarded a master of science degree in education with a specialization in leadership in educational administration from Capella University. He was recognized as a graduate with distinction as a result of maintaining a 4.0 average throughout his graduate coursework.

Gostomski currently teaches math at Parkwood Middle School in Monroe, N.C. Along with teaching, he is involved with the Leadership Committee, is in charge of the “24” Club, and is on the Anti-Bullying Committee. He is also the facilitator for the Professional Learning Committee.

He is a 1997 graduate of Dunkirk High School, received his associate’s degree in math and science from Jamestown Community College, and his bachelor’s degree in psychology and teaching certification from UNC Charlotte. He is the son of David and Margaret Gostomski of Kingsport, Tenn. Gostomski currently resides with his wife Danielle, in Charlotte, N.C.
