Softball standouts

North Collins pitcher Jessica Lawton was named the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 4 Pitcher of the Year while Ripley sophomore Ryleigh Hawkins was named Player of the Year.

Ellicottville received the Sportsmanship Award and North Collins’ Jan Warren was named the Coach of the Year.

North Collins had three players make the First-Team All-Stars led by juniors Nicole Torrey and Beth Kibler as well as Lawton.

Brocton junior Jessica Putcher and sophomore Jessica Merle also made the First Team.

Four Ripley players were named to the First Team led by seniors Shanda Mellors and Sammi Trevelline and sophomores Emilee Steger and Hawkins.

Ellicottville’s Alyssa Costello and Morgan Zlockie were named to the First Team as was Clymer’s Jolinda Rhodes.

North Collins also had four players selected to the Second Team led by senior Christine Blidy and sophomores Arrika Bley, Sam Gier and Jenna Keppel.

Brocton’s Brooke Kuschel (junior) was also named to the Second Team as was Ripley’s Kalishia Swoger (junior), Melanie McCutcheon (sophomore) and Sammi Judd (senior).

Ellicottville’s Elizabeth Wendell an Grace Wall were named to the Second Team.

Tatem Mielewski (Clymer) and Katlin Snayczak (West Valley) round out the Second-Team selections.
