Denzil I. Butcher

SOUTH DAYTON –

Denzil I. Butcher, 75, a retired maintenance super-visor for Nestles Milk Plant, where he worked for 12 years, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY.

He was born April 01, 1938 in South Dayton, NY the son of the late Clyde E. and Janet (Ingersoll) Butcher, Sr.

He also worked at Comstock Foods in South Da-ton for a period of time. He was a past member of the South Dayton Fire Dept. and the US Trotting Assn. where he owned and raced horses for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Barbara J. Phillips Butcher of South Dayton, NY, a son, Dennis P. (Martha) Butcher of Chagrin Falls, OH, his grandchildren: Dennis P. Butcher, Jr. of Dayton, OH, Erin E. Butcher of Boston, MA, Kelsie N. Butcher of Chagrin Falls, OH, two great grandchildren: Alyson and Kennedy Butcher of Dayton, OH, three brothers: Clyde E. Butcher of Alden, NY, Albert Butcher of South Dayton, NY, Donald Butcher of Fredonia, NY, and a sister, Violet Pickup of Cherry Creek, NY.

Visitation will be held at Hills Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 7-9 P.M.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Hills Funeral Chapel, Rt. 83, South Dayton, NY. Pastor Becky Ward of South Dayton United Methodist Church will be officiating. Inurnment will be in the Villenova Cemetery.
