Dunkirk Awards Night
Dunkirk High School Sports Booster Awards will be held Monday, June 17 at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Springs sports awards will be handed out as well as Yearly Awards for Top Senior Male and Female Athlete, Uszacki Memorial Award, Michelle Fisk Award, Bamonto Award and others.
Dan Palmer will alo be attending and awarding the WDOE Top Athlete Awards.
All parents and athletes are asked to attend along with any interested community members.
Gary Tripp Memorial
The Gary Tripp Memorial Golf Tournament plans are under way. The 2013 tournament is set for Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Shorewood Country Club with registration starting at 10 a.m., lunch at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at noon.
There will be prizes and/or games at each hole. The banquet and awards ceremony will follow at the Kosciuszko Club after which the band “US” will be performing.
Golfers may also get forms and sign up starting July 1 at the Kosciuszko Club on Nevins Street. Special early bird prices run through August 24. Extra sponsor forms will also be available. For more information, contact Fred Tripp at 785-7953 or Jim Pasierb at 752-4475.
Monies raised from the past four tournaments have been used to establish an annual Gary Tripp Colorectal Cancer Research Fund at Roswell Park, an annual Gary Tripp Memorial Golf Tournament Dunkirk High School scholarship and an annual Gary Tripp Memorial Golf Tournament SUNY Fredonia scholarship.

Pat Kaus was low golfer for the Women Who Golf For Fun. Tied for second were Carole Hudson and Theresa Leone. Third was held by Julie Ortendahl, who was also named golfer of the week. The women will play again next Wednesday, teeing off at 10 a.m.
Women golfers, new and old, young and old are always welcomed. Following golf next week the women will meet at Bob Evans for their monthly luncheon.
In the event of inclement weather, they should meet at the restaurant at noon.

ParTee Girls – The low gross of 47 went to Carolyn Rawlinson and Amy North, followed by Lynn LaMattina (49) and Kathy Brown (52). Low net scores went to Lynn LaMattina (32), North (33) and Carolyn Rawlinson (36).
The least putts prize was won by Trudy Gollnitz and the most putts went to Brooke Sheesley.
Bodell Overcash Anderson
vs. Gullo Lawn Care
Simon Price, Cole Wisneiwski and Max Sturniolo were the defensive players of the game for Bodell Overcash Anderson. Canyon Bellis, Kyle Smith and Emmie Bird were offensive standouts.
Ryle Beers, Brendan Mazany and Anthony Derby crushed the ball for Team Gullo Lawn Care. The stingy defense was led by Luca Gullo, Myles Benchley and Jlynn Davis.
Bodell Overcash Anderson
vs. Mary’s Deli
Ellie Vandette, Emmie Bird and Morgan Cerrie were offensive standouts for Team Bodell Overcash Anderson. Kyle Smith and Ian Story were defensive players of the game.
Mary’s Deli big bats were led by Gabrielle Motos, Jack Tuccio and Emmo Paterson. Matt Brown, Jack Pietro and Diego Merringer were outstanding in the field.
