Devin Carlson and Nick Sliwa hit two triples each to lead the Monnies while Dan Tarnowski had two singles. Joe Polichetti, Rick Zappie and Colton Farnham each knocked a one-bagger. Zappie earned the win in the circle for Moniuszko Club. Brian Wojcinski led Lakeside Club with a double and two singles while Brian Crawford added three singles. Mike Cole, Scott Kowalski and Danny Alessi had a single each.

Summer Clark brought in Siera Jacques for the game-winning RBI as Lake Shore Savings edged Jamestown Plastics. Neveah Carter had a 2-for-2 afternoon at the plate while Mary Dunn stood out at catcher. Savannah Krystofiak knocked him Makayla Brisley for Jamestown Plastics’ lone run. Angie Rexford went 2 for 2 while Kyara Caldwell went 3 for 3 in defeat.

Pucci’s Carpets 11, DFT 3

Trey Swartz hit a home run over the outfield fence for the third straight game as Pucci’s Carpets downed DFT. Swartz added a double and finished with five RBI. Alex Christy (double) and Nico Pucci had two hits each while Anthony Gullo knocked another. Swartz and Gullo combined to strike out 10 and hold DFT to six hits as Pucci’s Carpets extended its winning streak to four games.

Eli Mckelvey and Jamieson Horch pitched well in defeat for DFT while Brendon Plaister knocked a triple and Alex Rush added two singles.


Westfield Youth Wrestling Chicken BBQ Fundraiser

Westfield Youth Wrestling is having a chicken BBQ fundraiser at Moore Park – on the corner of Route 20 and Route 394 – in Westfield on Saturday, July 13 from 11:30 a.m. to s3 p.m. or until food is sold out. Presale tickets are $8 and can be purchased from coaches and parents.

Joy Golf Tournament Moved to Gowanda CC

The Russell J. Joy Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit TLC Health Network has switched locations and will be played at Gowanda Country Club, 2623 Brown Street, Collins on Wednesday, August 28. Registration is set for 11 a.m. and tee-off is set for noon.

FSU Soccer Camp

Fredonia State will hold a soccer camp from Sunday, June 23 through Thursday, June 27, for boys and girls ages 4-16, at University Stadium.

Sunday evening “Under the Lights” activities will be held, with pizza served to all participants. Swimming Monday through Thursday will be available for full-day campers.

T-shirts will be given to each participant, along with prizes. Competitions will be held each day.
