Church makes summer plans

STOCKTON – The Stockton Community Church will host its annual Strawberry Social on Saturday, June 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church, 4554 W. Railroad Ave. The evening’s music will be provided by Maurice Brown and The Mountain Railroad. The public is invited to attend?

The church will host “Jesus to the Rescue” Vacation Bible School from June 24-28 from 9 a.m. to noon. This is open to children from age 4 to those who have completed sixth grade. There will be Bible stories, songs, crafts, games and refreshments. Various rescue personnel from the community will bring their equipment to demonstrate their services. Any offerings made that week will go toward Aly Houser’s mission trip to Africa. All children must be registered by an adult the first day of Bible school. Registration will be from 8:30 to 9 a.m. on June 24.
