Two in motorcycle/car crash sent to hospital

CASSADAGA – A motorcycle-car crash on Route 60 near the Cassadaga Shurfine sent the two people, a male and a female traveling on the motorcycle, to Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk this evening. The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

Two males were traveling in the car involved in the accident. They declined treatment.

The car sustained damage on the door on the driver’s side. The motorcycle was loaded on a trailer by Cassadaga firemen and removed from the scene.

According to Tim Cobb Jr., First Assistant Fire Chief for the Casssadaga Fire Department, the first on the scene were the New York State Police from Fredonia. Cassadaga Fire Department as well as Alstar transported those injured from the scene. The Fredonia Fire Department also reported to the accident site.

A state trooper interviewed witnesses at the scene. He said the investigation is continuing.
