Car-motorcycle crash sends two to hospital

CASSADAGA – A motorcycle-car crash on Route 60 near the Cassadaga Shurfine sent the two people, a male and a female traveling on the motorcycle to Brooks Memorial Hospital Monday evening.

The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

Two males were traveling in the car involved in the accident. They declined treatment.

The car sustained damage on the driver’s side door.

The motorcycle was loaded onto a trailer by Cassadaga firemen and removed from the scene.

According to Tim Cobb, Jr. First Assistant Fire Chief for the Cassadaga Fire Department, the first on the scene were the New York State Police from Fredonia. Cassadaga Fire Department as well as Alstar transported those injured from the scene.

The Fredonia Fire Department also reported to the accident site.

A state trooper interviewed witnesses at the scene. He said the investigation is continuing.
