Sheridan Youth Recreation program starts Monday

SHERIDAN – Summer is just about here and that means it is time for another fun-filled six weeks at Sheridan Youth Recreation. This program starts on Monday and runs through Aug. 2. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon Monday-Friday and the program meets most days at the Sheridan Memorial Field on Center Road.

Veteran Program Director Shannon Aures Karcz is excited to welcome back Sherry Ohl and Tyler Steklasa as staff members along with Kelsey Aldrich who has moved up from a junior position to full staff member. The program welcomes Mary Jo Pearl to round out its team this summer.

There will be traditional trips of tank washing and Waldameer Park planned along with many other surprises. Weekly activities include swimming, guest speakers, arts and crafts, Amazing Race Days, the Sweet Rewards of Reading incentive program, Survivor Fridays, group games, Mystery Mondays, cooking, sports, and much, much more.

This program is open to children and grandchildren of Town of Sheridan residents entering kindergarten through age 13.
