Barker Children’s Library receives donation for update

Thanks to a generous gift from Stanley and Elizabeth Star, the Darwin R. Barker Library in Fredonia has been able to make an extensive update to the Herbert Star Children’s Library.

The Children’s Room has been repainted and refurbished with bright new furniture and area rugs. Other new additions include a new wooden dollhouse with furnishings, new block sets, puppets, and wooden cars and trucks. The room is colorful and welcoming, and the children are enjoying it immensely.

With the Star family’s assistance, the Children’s Room continues to be a vital part of Fredonia’s commitment to its children and families.

The staff of the Herbert Star Children’s Library invites all children to visit and participate in Storytime, which takes place Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
