Willow Creek Winery & Buffalojams.com present ‘Buffalove Music Festival’

SILVER CREEK – Willow Creek Winery and Buffalojams.com presents “Buffalove Music Festival” Friday and Saturday. Kicking off Willow Creek Winery’s “Homegrown Music Fridays”, Buffalojams.com teamed up with the winery to create a two-day festival featuring a variety of local talent.

“Homegrown Music Fridays” started last season as a way to showcase local music. “We (as a staff) wanted to start a series that was just meant for local music, to show off the musicianship in our area on our stage,” said Megan Tracey, event coordinator for Willow Creek. “This year we are really starting off full force with this stellar lineup”.

Buffalove Music Festival was the brain-child of Cody Conway and Rick Zanghi. Stemming from their promotion of local jam bands on their website, Buffalojams.com Conway and Zanghi started planning the festival early Fall 2012.

“It has always been a dream of mine to throw a music festival. I had my first music and camping experience as a child with my father and have been to music festivals pretty regularly since 2005,” Conway said.

“The local jam music scene has been exploding over the last few years, and I really wanted to make sure these amazing musicians were being recognized. That was one of my main reasons for starting buffalojams.com, and my main reason for organizing Buffalove Music Festival.”

Buffalove kicks off 7:30 p.m. today with Groove Force, Steel Keys and Brass, and Blue Rootz for a pre-camping party. Music continues all weekend long with Slip Madigan and Aqueous headlining Friday night, and Funktional Flow and Universe Shark headlining Saturday.

Gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday, and 11 a.m. on Saturday. Tickets are available on www.brownpapertickets.com.
