State police in Jamestown detain fugitive from justice
NORTH HARMONY – On Monday, Francisco Alicea-Vargas, 48, of Bronx was detained as a fugitive from justice.
A trooper pulled a vehicle over on Interstate 86 for a traffic violation. While checking the license of the driver, the trooper received a response notifying him that Alicea-Vargas was wanted by the Erie, Pa., police for several charges.
Alicea-Vargas was processed, arraigned in the Town of Harmony Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.

SILVER CREEK – A male youth was charged with second-degree obstruction of a governmental administration and unlawful possession of marijuana Saturday.
At 9:25 p.m. the youth was observed by deputies on foot patrol in the Silver Creek Village Park with a marijuana pipe. Deputies approached the youth, who attempted to flee.
The youth was later taken into custody and released on appearance tickets for Silver Creek Village Court.
