Pier to rock tonight

Music on the Pier finally kicks off tonight with Mama Kin, an Aerosmith tribute band.

Sponsored by the Dunkirk Columbus Club, Mama Kin brings authenticity, both in appearance and vocally, that no other Aerosmith Tribute band can bring.

Hailing from Toronto, Mama Kin has played thousands of shows throughout Ontario, western New York, and even as far away as Michigan, Maine and western Canada.

Mayor Anthony J. Dolce is very excited to finally get going on Music on the Pier.

“The weather finally looks great, and what better band to kick things off than with the music of Aerosmith,” Dolce stated. “We encourage everyone to come down – enjoy the weather – and listen to some great music.”

Like last year, food will be available as well as a beer and wine tent. Dunkirk Festival T-shirts will be available for purchase at the Welcome Tent.

New in 2013 will be a brand new stage from Advanced Production Group. The covered stage will be 24′ x 24′ as compared to last year’s 16’x16′.

This festival, like all city of Dunkirk Festivals, is offered to the public free of charge thanks to the generous support of our corporate partners, Advanced Production Group, Dunkirk Chamber of Commerce, Coors Light, NRG Energy, Cott Beverages, DFT Communications and National Grid.

Additional details on this or any other festival can be found at, or on Facebook, Dunkirk Festivals. Please visit for more information on Mama Kin.
