Sophie Kucharski, of Dunkirk passed away, Friday morning, June 28, 2013, at the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk. She was born February

16, 1911 in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Gabriel and Alice (Anelia Madurska) Skrzypek. A past employee of the former Van Raalte Plant, Cease’s Catering and

Dolce’s Catering all in Dunkirk. Her memberships include Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hyacinth, Dom Polski Club and Kosciuszko Club.

Surviving are her children Natalie (Donald) Crowley of Georgia, Matthew (Kathy) Kucharski of Sheridan, Christine McGraw of Dunkirk, grandchildren Maureen

(Kevin) Flaherty, Christine Peters, Eileen (Xavier) Balderas, Krista (Dan) Alecia, Matthew Kucharski Jr., Timothy and Michelle McGraw, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters Mary (William) Farrel, Loretta (Daniel) Szalkowski, and many nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death in addition to her parents is her

husband Matthew P. Kucharski who died November 17, 1987, brothers Stanley, John and Edward “Sam” Skrzypek, sisters Frances Peglowski, Rose

Tofil, Irene Wallace, Betty Krystofiak, Florence Kron, Viola Sek and Shirley Draves. Relatives and friends are welcome to call at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home

o’clock in Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to be made to St.

Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
