Historian to speak at WNY Steel Plant Museum
BUFFALO – John Percy, local historian, author and educator, will return on Wednesday, as the presenter for the Steel Plant Museum of Western New York, at its monthly First Wednesday program. A large turn-out, along with much interest, in June, prompted the quick return for Percy as the speaker. His new topic will focus upon historic automobiles that were once manufactured in Buffalo, including the famed Pierce-Arrow and Thomas Flyer, among others.
With a number of classic car shows scheduled for the region this summer, this presentation is sure to be a popular event for automobile enthusiasts. It will take place at 100 Lee St. in South Buffalo. Summer hours are in effect, so museum doors open at 6 p.m. and the program starts at 7 p.m.
There is no admission fee and plenty of off-street parking is available behind the museum building. Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase. For additional information, call 821-9361 or 675-4006.
