Mayville Library book sale Friday, Saturday

The Mayville Library’s annual summer book sale will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside the library at 92 S. Erie St. A bag sale will be held Saturday afternoon. For more information, call the library at 753-7362.

First Friday Westfield to begin this week

The Westfield-Barcelona Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring First Friday Westfield this Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. by the Main Street shops. Starting at the corner of routes 20 and 394, many businesses will be open late. There will also be vendors set up along the sidewalk. Visit the businesses that are open and see what Westfield has to offer. Come and enjoy food, music, art, shopping, and visiting with neighbors and friends. The event will be held rain or shine.

Fredonia-Pomfret Recreation Department closed July 4-5

The Fredonia-Pomfret Recreation Department will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of Independence Day. Normal playground hours and in-struction resumes Monday.

Registration under way for summer session

Jamestown Community College’s second summer session, July 8 to Aug. 15, will offer day and evening courses as well as online learning opportunities at JCC’s Jamestown, Cattaraugus County campuses, North County and Warren centers.

In-person registration will be conducted until Friday for Summer Session II. Online course registration and a complete listing of courses is available at www.sunyjcc.edu/summer.

Ruth Lundin on Senior Report Saturday

Senior Report with Reed Powers will have Ruth Lundin as the guest on Saturday’s television program. Lundin is president of the Jamestown Audubon Center and Sanctuary.

The live, call-in program airs from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions, comments or a shout-out. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. for some communities.
