Buccaneers begin parade season

The Chadwick Bay Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps officially began its 2013 parade season with the 10th annual Brant Summerfest Parade in the town of Brant. The Corps received a prize from the Festival Committee for being judged the “Most Beautiful” performing group in the parade.

The Buccaneers are a true all-age drum and bugle corps, based in Fredonia. The group performs in parades throughout the summer months. The Buccaneers are always accepting new recruits, and with the help of their talented instructors, will teach and train members. Katlin “KC” Wolford is the Corps’ drum instructor, and Ramona Abraham is the horn instructor. Both women are certified music teachers, and have several years of experience with the Buccaneers. Openings exist in both the horn and drum lines, as well as the Honor Guard.

Additional information about the corps can be found at www.cb-bucs.org, including a schedule of practices and upcoming events, or by calling Ron Joy at 673-1926. The Buccaneers invite anybody who is interested in playing music, marching and having fun to join their ranks.
