Festival of Grapes Baby Contest welcomes participants
SILVER CREEK – The year’s Festival of Grapes baby contest will be held with voting taking place from Aug. 10 to Sept. 1 at Rite-Aid and Tops in Silver Creek.
To enter send an entry form with two wallet-sized photos and a self addressed, stamped envelope to Carol Kuchera, 8637 Lake Shore Road, Angola NY, 14006 or by email to email@example.com.
Children who live in the Grape Belt region, which includes all of Chautauqua County and extends up to Eden in southern Erie County, ages birth to 24 months can qualify for the contest. Children must meet the age range by Aug. 1.
Anyone can vote for their favorite baby with 25 cents. The boy and girl with the most votes will win the baby contest and be announced at the opening ceremony of the Festival of Grapes Sept. 9. Each will also win a prize and a chance to ride in the Sunday Parade.
This contest is a fundraiser for the Festival of Grapes, the longest volunteer-run festival in New York state.
