Arthur R. “Jim” Jimerson, 68, of the Absolute of Sala-manca, formerly of the Cat-taraugus Reservation, died Saturday evening (July 13, 2013) following a long ill-ness.

Born February 2, 1945, in Gowanda, New York, he was the son Raymond and Muriel Kettle Jimerson.

Mr. Jimerson was a member of the Tonawanda Seneca Tribe and the Tur-tle Clan.

He worked in Gowanda, New York for many years, performing maintenance and cleaning services.

He enjoyed music, and playing his guitar. He also liked to drive around and visit people.

Surviving are: three daughters of Tonawanda, N.Y.; one sister, Jaimye (Samuel) Kelly, of the Cat-taraugus Reservation, several half brothers and sisters, and a life compan-ion; Carolyn Silverheels, of the Cattaraugus Reserva-tion.

There will be no visita-tion. Private ceremonies will be held at the conveni-ence of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
