Team 604 10 , Team 601 3 – Mike Szalkowski led Team 604 with two goals and three assists in the win while Alex Brown had three goals and an assist. Also for Team 604, Nick Walter had two goals and two assists, Matt Johnson had one goal and three assists, Alex Stegmeier had two goals and Tori Fanton chipped in with an assist. Andrea Colan picked up the win in net.

First Ward Falcons Thursday Night Golf League – The Dick Lewandowski Memorial Two-Man Handicap Tourney was played recently with first place going to Tom Gregoreski and Rob Tracy, who finished -7 on the day. Second place went to Don Kujawa and Bruce Wlodarek (-4) while third place went to Pete Pinkoski and Jon Riforgiat (-3). Fourth place was won by Ron Szach and Dave Miller (-3).

Wednesday Morning Purple Posse League – The game of the week was ‘Poker’ with Viki Clark and Barb VanDette tying for first place with a straight. Second place was also a tie with Jeanne Pagano, Linda DeJoe and Audrey Parker each earning four of a kind. The greenback prize went to Marie Aniszewski.

The League is schedule to play on Wednesday, July 17, meeting at 9:30 a.m., and teeing off at 10. All skill levels are welcome and interested golfers can join any time.

Trap Shooting Title

Brocton resident David Proper won the 2013 New York State Trap Shooting Championship after breaking 200 straight targets and out dueling two competitors in a shoot-off to take the title. Proper also won the title in 2003.

Brocton-Portland Midget Football League Announces Grill Package Winner

The Brocton-Portland Midget Football League congratulates, Ellen Gerould, the winner of the grill package that was drawn on July 15. The proceeds from ticket sales will support the Bullpup’s 2013 season. The league thanks all who supported the fundraiser.

Benamati Memorial Scramble Sold Out

The Mary Ellen Benamati Memorial Scramble On Sunday, July 28, is officially sold out. However, singles willing to substitute on an as needed basis are being accepted.
