Fredonia History Days features history tent

On Saturday during Fredonia History Days, all visitors are invited to stop by the large tent in Barker Common West to see the many displays of local history. Area agencies represented in the tent this year are the Town of Pomfret, the Sheridan Historical Society, the Harmony/Panama Historical Society, the Town of Arkwright Historian, the Dunkirk Historical Society, the WCA Home, the Underground Railroad Map Project, Fredonia Grange No. 1 and the Robert H. Jackson Center of Jamestown.

The local history tent will be open all day on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Annual reunion

set for Saturday

SOUTH DAYTON – South Dayton Cherry Creek Schoolmates annual reunion will be held Saturday at Zollingers Hotel, South Dayton. There will be fellowship at 11 a.m. and lunch at noon. News and pictures to share are encouraged. Call 532-4764 for more information.

USS Mount Mckinley Association to hold 25th reunion

The USS Mount Mckinley Association will hold its 25th annual reunion in Portland, Ore., from Sept. 18-22 for veterans and associate members of all branches of the military who served on the Amphibious Force Flagship, USS Mount Mckinley AGC/LCC-7 and associate members of the Flagship Alliance group who served on one of the other AGCs during their years of commissioned service.
