Tuesday’s rollover leads to drug charge
New York State Police at Fredonia investigated a rollover accident on Temple Road in the town of Dunkirk on Tuesday around 8 p.m.
The vehicle driven by Julius Woma, 19, of Fredonia, was traveling north on Temple Road when he attempted to make a right turn into a driveway. He missed the turn and hit a ditch near the Thruway Bridge. The car overturned, landing on its roof.
Woma was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Two other male passengers were treated at Brooks Hospital for minor injuries.
Woma was ticketed for speed unreasonable, unlicensed operator and unlawful possession of marijuana. He will appear in the Dunkirk Town Court.
Troopers were assisted at scene by Fredonia and Dunkirk Police Departments as well as the West Dunkirk Fire Department, Alstar Ambulance and Mancuso towing service.

Juli Thomas, 45, of Lake Shore Drive East, was charged with disorderly conduct on July 9.
Joseph Rancka, 32, of Grant Avenue, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance on July 11.
Julio Angel Torres, 41, of Dunkirk, was charged with speeding in zone and unlicensed operation on July 11.
Patricia Clyde, 53, of Ruggles Street, was charged with petit larceny and trespassing on July 11.
On July 11 around 1 p.m., Nadine McCarthy, 60, of Forestville, was traveling east on East Fourth Street when her passenger’s side rear quarter panel was struck by Robin Putnam, 55, of Castile Drive in Fredonia. Putnam was backing out of the parking lot of Main Wine and Spirits. Putnam’s vehicle sustained minor damage to her driver’s side front quarter panel. Minor damage was done to both cars. No injuries were reported.
Melitza Ortiz, 31, of West Courtney Street, was charged with third-degree assault on July 12.
Jonathan Colon, 20, of Canary Street, was charged with violating a noise ordinance on July 12.
Mario Castro, 19, of South Beaver Street, was charged with second-degree harassment on July 12.
Lonne Sotkovski, 39, of Silver Creek, was charged with possessing an open container of alcohol on Saturday.
Elaine Best, 20, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and having a taillight out on Saturday.
John Tenamore, 32, of East Courtney Street, was charged with driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Saturday.
Sean Ross, of West Second Street, was charged with two counts of second-degree harassment on Saturday.
Daniel Pawlak, 42, of Swan Street, was charged with second-degree harassment on Saturday.
Nelson Rodriguez-Miranda, 20, of Lincoln Avenue, was charged with going the wrong way on a one-way street and driving without a license on Saturday.
Hammad Zaidi, 42, of Main Street, was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree criminal mischief on Saturday.
Kirk Babcock Jr., 24, of Lake Shore Drive East, was charged with third-degree assault on Sunday.
Aurelio Lopez, 28, and Magdaleno Gonzalez, 56, both of Columbus Avenue, were charged with possessing open containers of alcohol on Sunday.
Lenette Blackshear, 29, of Yonkers, was charged with two counts of fifth-degree welfare fraud on Sunday.
Julio Montalvo, 36, of Maple Avenue Lower, was charged with third-, fourth- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second-degree criminal use of paraphernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana, growing cannabis, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana on Sunday.
Tony Stewart, 31, of North Beagle Street, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree criminal contempt on Monday.
Anthony West, 36, of Maple Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to pay fines on Monday.
Benjamin Lanphere, 44, of Ripley, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation on Monday.
Samuel Cuyler, 25, of Ruggles Street, was charged with second-degree harassment, failure to keep right, leaving a lane unsafely, driving while intoxicated and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Tuesday.
Garrett Warren, 21, of Washington Avenue Upper, was charged with driving with a suspended registration, driving with an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without a license on Tuesday.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office
SILVER CREEK – Amy J. Goldberg, 34, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, suspended registration and operating without insurance on July 16.
At 7:30 p.m. deputies observed a vehicle parked in the roadway of Central Avenue in the village of Silver Creek hindering traffic.
The driver, Goldberg was found to have a suspended registration, no registration and her licensed had been suspended in New York state.
She was released on appearance tickets for Silver Creek Village Court.
CHAUTAUQUA – Alexander K. Latta, 18, of Mayville was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny on July 16. Latta was taken into custody on a warrant following an incident that occurred on July 12 in the town of Chautauqua. Latta was arraigned in Ellery Town Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
