Wright League

American Legion 13, Youth Council 3 – Alec Schrader pitched a two-hitter and walked one batter to lead the Legion to victory. Once again, the Legion’s offense helped lead the way as Derrick Walters had a triple and two doubles while Schrader (home run), Haeden Walters (two doubles), Jake Skinner, Tyler Rosen and Mike Dispense all had two hits.

Youth Council’s two hits were recorded by Mike Barnes with a double and Owen Nicosia, who singled. Pitching for Youth Council were Dalton Gardner, Nicosia and Charlie Gilbert. Gilbert had three put-outs while catching while Barnes, Gardner and Nicosia each crossed the plate once, all in the first inning.

The win pushed the Legion’s record on the year to 13-2.

Cassadaga Valley Youth Soccer


Pavlock Construction 14, Cow Trimmers 2 – Kevin Harrington scored six goals, Aiden Testa scored four goals, Tanner Olmstead scored three goals and Payton Meder scored one in the win.

Kolton Samuelson and Bryce Jedrysik each scored one goal for the Cow Trimmers.

Schaffner, Knight & Minnaugh P.C. 4, Lewis Construction 4 – Emily Anderson scored three goals and Cameron Katlius scored one goal for Schaffner, Knight & Minnaugh P.C.

Trent Lewis scored four goals for Lewis Construction.


Storer’s Containers 1, J & J Painting 0 – Garrett Williams scored the lone goal in Storer’s Containers win.

McDonald’s Small Fries 7, Parts Plus Panthers 0 – Ace Pierce and Kole Davis each scored two goals and had two assists while Chase Pierce, Owen Myers and Johnathan Lewis all scored in the win.


Veracity Benefits 2, Mom & Pop’s Recycling 0 – Drake Pierce scored the only two goals in Veracity Benefits’ win.

Cassadaga Shur Fine 5, Gerry Free Methodist Church 2 – Cade Egan and Cameron Anderson each scored two goals and Jayden Johns scored one goal for Cassadaga Shur Fine.

Alex Runge and Meghan Lebaron each scored a goal for Gerry Free Methodist.


Jamestown Auto Center 4, Advanced Septic 0 – Kaylee Deering and Robbie Penhollow each scored two goals in Jamestown Auto Center’s win.

Andersen Cuddihy Inc. 8, FC Thunder 2 – Destin Johns scored six goals and Dan Andersen scored two.

For FC Thunder, Eli Johns scored two goals.

Chautauqua Men’s Senior Baseball League

Pro Bats Yankees 13-8, Jamestown Products Yankees 1-1 – In game one of a double-header, Brent Thompson allowed a run on five hits while striking out six in a complete-game effort.

Pro Bats’ offense was led by Brian Bongiovanni and Stony Woodard, who each had three hits. Trent Thompson and Rich Hofer added two hits each in the win.

In the second game, Brent Thompson again picked up the victory, which was shortened by lightning, as he allowed two hits. Joe Pantano, Trent Thompson and Cody Smith all played well on defense in the win.

Bongiovanni led the offense with a triple and a home run while A.J. Burnside, Charlie LaDuca and Woodard all had RBI singles. Smith added an RBI double to help pace Pro Bats’ offensive effort.
