Fredonia High School senior Brianna Price was selected for as Student of the Month for April by the Kiwanis Club. Price is the daughter of David and Kathy Price. She ranked within the top twenty percent of her class, and has always made it one of her top priorities to challenge herself in school. She participated in the 3-1-3 program at SUNY Fredonia and is a member of the Honors Program there. Throughout high school she has received the Principal’s Award with Distinction every year. She graduated in June with an Advanced Regents Diploma.

Throughout high school she was a member of multiple sports teams, such as cross country, basketball cheerleading and track. She has also been a dancer since she was 4 years old. Price is currently a dancer at the Collage Performing Arts Center and a member of the New York Majestics Senior Dance Team. On Saturday mornings she spends her time teaching level one and two Irish and Hiphop at CPAC.

Price was a member of student council for three years. Freshman and sophomore year she was a class representative, and was class president her senior year. During her junior year she was given the opportunity to represent Post 59 of Fredonia as a delegate to Empire Girls State.

In the past year, Price became involved with Soup on the Fly. She volunteered her time to help special needs students with their school business of making soup from scratch and then serving it to teachers. She also volunteered her time to work at Santa’s Workshop during Christmas time.

In the fall she will attend SUNY Fredonia and major in business management. Price then hopes to go to law school at the University at Buffalo and one day become a lawyer.
