Chicken barbecue to benefit CCRM

Chautauqua County Rural Ministry, like many other nonprofit organizations, has received a notice of loss of funding. The Friendly Kitchen expects to serve over 35,000 meals this year and the Food Pantry anticipates serving over 100,000 meals this year. We have a great need in the local area. As part of our community outreach program, the congregation at St. Paul Lutheran Church has decided to help Chautauqua County Rural Ministry with some of their budget shortages. Proceeds from its annual chicken barbecue will be donated to Chautauqua County Rural Ministry. The barbecue will be held on Sunday, Aug. 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until sold out. The cost is $9 and includes half a chicken, potato salad, corn on the cob and a cookie. The church is located at 334 Temple St., Fredonia. All are invited to eat in or take out. In addition, a food drive is also underway to help out the Food Pantry. Please consider dropping off a nonperishable food item when stopping by for the barbecue. St. Paul Lutheran Church and Chautauqua County Rural Ministry appreciate your support and generosity.
