Stabbing in city, suspect at large

A 22-year-old Dunkirk woman was rushed to the hospital Sunday night after showing up in front of the Dunkirk Police Department’s headquarters on Fourth Street with multiple stab wounds.

The stabbing reportedly occurred around 10 p.m. near the intersection of East Fifth Street and Leopard Street.

After the incident, the unidentified woman victim drove herself to the Dunkirk Police Department, where EMS personnel from the Dunkirk Fire Department responded to treat her injuries.

Afterward, the woman was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital via Alstar Ambulance. Her injuries were non-life threatening.
